Lehrkraft Musik / Teacher of Music

The Josef-Schwarz-School is a state-recognised bilingual school with campuses in Heilbronn and Erlenbach.

For our Secondary School in Heilbronn, we are looking for a passionate and qualified Teacher of Music (all genders) to join our team on a part-time basis. Employment on a German mini-job basis is also possible.

Your responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, competence-oriented Music lessons based on the Baden-Württemberg curriculum
  • Teach music theory, practical musicianship and creative musical expression in an age-appropriate way
  • Differentiate instruction to support students with diverse musical backgrounds and abilities
  • Foster creativity, collaboration and confidence through active music-making
  • Contribute to the musical life of the school through concerts, ensembles, performances and interdisciplinary projects
  • Work collaboratively within an international teaching team

Your profile

  • Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent teaching qualification for secondary education, or a relevant Master's degree in Music, Music Education or Musicology
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for inspiring young people through music
  • A student-centred teaching approach and interest in innovative educational concepts
  • Excellent English skills (native level) and German language skills at B2/C1 level
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to supporting students' individual development
