Your position

For our bilingual school, we are seeking a qualified English-speaking Science teacher with a strength in Physics. Knowledge of the IGCSE Combined Sciences syllabus and the IB DP Physics curriculum would be a distinct advantage. Suitably qualified candidates may also be considered for a coordinating role within the department.

Start: 17 August 2026, full-time basis

Your area of responsibility

  • teaching the three Natural Sciences (Chemistry, Biology, Physics) in a combined syllabus to students in Grades 5 to 10
  • teaching Physics (and possibly a second Science) in the IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11 and 12)
  • focusing on student learning and development, extending and supporting as required to help students reach their potential
  • working closely with the members of the Science department and other teaching staff
  • communicating with parents and guardians

You have

  • a teaching qualification for Science in the Secondary School 
  • substantial teaching experience in the three Natural Sciences in Grades 5 to 10
  • the ability to teach Physics to talented students in Grades 11 and 12
  • experience with linguistically heterogeneous learning groups
  • English language skills at native-speaker level
  • knowledge of German at level B2 or a willingness to improve towards this level
  • strong IT skills for effective use of our modern learning environment
  • personal qualities that motivate and inspire the students 
  • open-mindedness, flexibility and the ability to work well in a team
